The South African National Research and Education Network (SA NREN) will be hosting a parallel session at the CHPC National Meeting 2015. The theme of this year National Meeting is: Towards an integrated cyberinfrastructure.

SANReN CA recruiting for a Systems Administrator – closed

The CSIR has a vacancy for a Systems Administrator in the South African National Research Network (SANReN), within the Meraka Institute. The role of this position is to commission, decommission, configure and maintain hardware and software that support the day-to-day activities of SANReN. The position is based in Pretoria.

Successful Mconf web conferencing launch events in Pretoria and Cape Town!

Mconf web conferencing was officially launched as a production level service last week at two successful Mconf web conferencing launch events. The events took place at the CSIR ICC in Pretoria, on Wednesday 22nd July 2015, and at CPUT Bellville campus on Thursday 23rd July 2015.

The event was conducted using the SA NREN’s Mconf web conferencing installation which enabled a speaker from the Mconf Technology’s web conferencing development team in Porto Alegre, Brazil to participate and present at the session.
